Ferranti Computer Systems Integrates CA's Unicenter Technology in Managed Services Solution

Ferranti is integrating CA’s e-business management solution into IT Management Online, the managed services solution for pro-active monitoring of business infrastructures.
Antwerp / Brussels – november 2003 – Ferranti Computer Systems, a leading ICT system integrator and services provider, announced that they will henceforth optimise the effectiveness and performance of their managed services solution by basing it on the management solution developed by Unicenter.
Ferranti, which recently joined the Channel Partner Program of Computer Associates, will from now on act as a reseller of the Unicenter management solution, which is a suite of modular, integrated solutions for managing the business infrastructure.
In addition, the Unicenter technology will be integrated into IT Management Online, a modular services package that can remotely and pro-actively manage the IT infrastructure of a business, such as servers, databases, security devices and applications. It enables the IT team of a business to easily track down, correct and even anticipate system problems. IT Management Online simplifies the management and monitoring of the IT infrastructure and enhances the reliability of networks, servers and applications. The services package also supports the IT team in other areas, such as reporting, history, and monitoring server availability and the performance of the overall infrastructure.
